What is Travertine Paver
Travertine Paver is a natural stone just like marble, granite and limestone. The main difference between travertine pavers and other natural stones is in the formation of the rock, the hardness of the stone and the overall appearance. Travertine pavers are formed in hot springs and/or limestone caves. Travertine pavers are primarily used for outdoors such as driveways, pool decks, patio areas and walk ways and its standard thickness is 1 1/4″.
Benefits of Installing Travertine Pavers
Repel Water Easily
Do not Retain as Much Heat
Installing travertine pavers is a good option because travertine pavers repel water easily. A slightly roughened surface on the travertine paver allows for good traction for both automobiles and foot traffic.
Unlike other paving options, travertine pavers do not retain as much heat. This makes them a very user-friendly product and ideal for pool areas. Another advantage is that travertine pavers are low maintenance. A simple high-quality sealer keeps your travertine looking pristine for years to come. Travertine paver is considered a Green Flooring solution. Since travertine pavers form naturally, there is really no danger of depleting resources. Another advantage is better prices compared with other high-quality stone. While travertine shares nearly the same prestige with marble, it is significantly cheaper. Paver House has available in a wide range of Travertine Pavers colors, sizes and finishes to blend with any landscape design.
Travertine Pavers Color Selection
Travertine has been used for outdoor flooring and structures for more than 2,000 years and has withstood the test of time. It is a natural stone and comes in a more limited variety of colors than brick pavers. The most common colors for travertine pavers are ivory, beige, walnut (light, medium, dark), noche (dark brown), silver and gold.
Travertine Paver Finishes
Travertine Pavers come in different type finishes such as Brushed and Chiseled (bottom paver), wire brushes are passed over the surface of the paver and the top edging of the paver face is chipped or chiseled for a more rustic finish used to give a more textured appearance. Or Tumbled (top paver): The travertine pavers are literally tumbled in gravel and small smooth stones to create a softer, aged appearance and rounded edges.
